The buildings that make up Keld Resource Centre include a former Church Manse, School, Literary Institute and Methodist Chapel.
The Manse has already been restored and between 2010 and 2013 all the other buildings will be renovated and pressed into new uses. The Literary Institute includes a Stables largely intact since it was last used in the 19th Century, this and the adjoining room is to become our countryside and heritage visitor centre and is scheduled to open late 2010.
The Manse which is a well appointed house and originally the home of the minister of the adjoining Church has been newly refitted and redecorated, the property offers accommodation for six people comprising a sitting room, dining room, kitchen + breakfast room, and three bedrooms. The property offers lovely views of the village and across the Dale, and makes a superb base in which to relax or from which to explore the surrounding countryside. It is available for rent and the proceeds help to fund our charitable works.
